Following in the footsteps of Family where I was also resident (the
night stopped in June '06 after 18 months), BoomBox is currently one of
london's best kept secrets (we're not listed in magazines, only word of
mouth)
The capital's dressed-up freaks and angels have made it their home thanks to
the unique Richard Mortimer's enthusiasm and flair, it's so much fun to be
part of this crazy family, I couldn't have asked for a better club to be
involved in
I played 'Jump' the new Madonna single (the remixes aren't amazing but she's
a big icon of our crowd) as well as current BoomBox anthems such as the Rex
The Dog's remix of The Sounds 'Toni The Beat', the Touché remix of Morillo
& Diddy's 'Dance I Said', the Soulwax remix of Gossip's 'Standing In The Way
Of Control' and Mason's 'Exceeder'
I'm looking forward to the next few days as Andrea and I are getting our new
Mac computer in the studio, we are finally about to get back to make music
together again, it's been a while, can't wait
I'm now off to the greatest pub of them all: the George & Dragon for a quick
meeting with the crew and a few vodka cranberries (2 Hackney Rd, London E2)
À bientot
