we just played'I LOVE TECHNO'last saturday.it's Belgium's biggest electronic music festival and takes place in an enormous building called Flanders Expo in Gent.Around 32.000 people came down to the indoor rave.it's frontpage news in today's local papers....one
headline reads 'lots of people (and pills)at I LOVE TECHNO'.The article continues to state that 83 people got arrested for drugpossesion,410 pills of xtc were confiscated,along with 9 grams of cocaine,8 grams of speed,115 grams of weed and 260 grams of hash.
the whole place is divided in different 'rooms' with huge streams of people filing in and out.with such a mass of people certains rooms became incredibly hot and by the time we hit the stage in our'RADIO SOULWAX'room we were already drenched in sweat. shortly after we started our set,our room was closed due to overcapacity.I can only hope that most people enjoyed us and the other dj's as it was excrcuciatingly hot in there and i'm sure some people must have
fainted in our 'orange' room.it's a weird feeling to know that somebody might get hurt while you're up there performing.thousands of kids enjoyed themselves though,and we want to thank all those that showed up,waited in line,got dehydrated,but still had the energy to dance and chant...
